Renting for another rider
Whether you want to get someone a motorcycle rental as a gift or you’re organising a road trip for several riders, it is possible to book a motorcycle for someone else.
Here is what you need to do
- Create an Easy Renter account in your name - If you have never booked on Easy Renter before, you will first need to create an Easy Renter account in your name.
- Book & pay for your rentalThe booking will be in your name and will use your information. Make sure the rider you are booking for adheres to our terms and conditions. For more information about who can rent a motorcycle, please read the following page.
- Fill in the rider’s details on your account - Once your booking is complete, you will need to fill in the rider’s details in the "My rider & billing details" section of your account.
- Upload the rider's documents - Finally, you will need to upload the rider’s identity documents to your Easy Renter account. Here is our guide on this subject >
Also note that the security deposit will need to be paid from your Easy Renter account 48 hours before the start of your rental. Find out more about security deposits on the following page.
Multiple bookings with the same account
We generally recommend that you create separate Easy Renter accounts for each rider if you want to book several rentals for the same period.
If you still want to use only one Easy Renter account, here is what you need to do:
- Create an Easy Renter account in your name - If you have never booked on Easy Renter before, you will first need to create an Easy Renter account in your name.
- Book & pay for your rental - The booking will be in your name and will use your information. Make sure the rider you are booking for adheres to our terms and conditions. For more information about who can rent a motorcycle, please read the following page.
- Fill in the other riders’ detail on your Easy Renter account - Once your booking is complete, you will need to fill in the rider’s details in the "My rider & billing details" section of your account.
- Upload all the documents to your account - As the owner of the account, you will need to upload identity documents (ID card front/back and driver's licence front/back) for any riders linked to your account. If there isn’t enough space in the account for the document, you can send them to us stating your booking number.
- Specify who will ride which motorcycle - Finally, we will need to know who will ride which motorcycle in order to ensure that the rental contracts have the correct riders’ details. You can provide this information either at the time of your booking or at a later stage by email.
Please note that the security deposit will need to be paid from the same Easy Renter account for each rental.
