What happens if I return the vehicle late?

At Easy Renter, we want your motorcycle or scooter rental experience to go as smoothly as possible. One of the keys to ensuring good organization, both for you and the rental company, is to notify Easy Renter and the Rental Company promptly in case of a delay. This helps avoid inconveniences and ensures your insurance remains valid throughout the rental period.

Why is it necessary to notify in case of a delay?

Notifying in case of a delay is important for several reasons. First, the vehicle you are renting may be reserved by another customer or used for other purposes. A delay can therefore disrupt the rental company’s schedule and affect the vehicle’s availability.

Additionally, the insurance taken out for the rental covers a specific period. If you exceed the return time stated in your contract, you will no longer be covered, which can pose significant risks in the event of an incident.

How to notify Easy Renter and the rental company?

To notify the rental company, you will find their contact details and address in your rental information, accessible from your Easy Renter account. This information was also sent to you by email when your booking was confirmed.

To contact us, simply send an email including your reservation number. You can do this by clicking on the contact bubble at the bottom right of your screen or by replying directly to one of the emails sent by our system.

Once I have notified them, what happens?

If the rental company is (or will be) open when you arrive:

By contacting us before your arrival, it is possible to extend the insurance coverage until your visit to the partner agency. This extension may incur additional coverage fees but allows you to return the motorcycle safely, without any interruption of your insurance.

If the rental company is (or will be) closed when you arrive:

If you arrive after the rental agency has closed, a situation to avoid whenever possible, you will need to return the motorcycle at its next reopening. It is essential to inform both Easy Renter and the agency. Consequently, Easy Renter will charge for the additional days of use, increased by 40% compared to the standard daily rate, until the agency reopens.
