Beyond the experience with this motorcycle, which is very pleasant, flexible, and without much character, you can feel that its gearbox is designed to eat up the miles. It's comfortable with two people on board on mountain roads. I was bothered by its caster angle, which sometimes surprised me in tight corners at low speeds. Otherwise, the bike was flawless, available as soon as I arrived, and super easy to handle. Fuel consumption was 5.2 l/100 km in the mountains (rarely shifted into 6th gear). The dealership was super friendly and the staff were helpful, even on a busy Saturday morning. I recommend renting a motorcycle if the conditions are right. Ultimately, the cost of renting is quite reasonable for having fun away from home. The only downside is having to lug around a helmet, gloves, and jacket on public transportation. For the cost of Easy Renter insurance (which is mainly insurance), a €1,500 deposit reduced by half with a €40 excess buyback seems like a good alternative to me. Everything is done online, it's simple, well done, and efficient. There are still some crazy people in Marseille when they get in their cars, and probably when they get out too. Have a good trip, everyone.
