The 6 rental steps

Below you will find the six steps for a stress-free rental.

  • Book online

    Explore the wide range of motorcycles and scooters available for rent. At the click of a mouse, you can easily select your location and find motorcycles close to you. Select your rental dates, any additional options, and book your rental online.

  • Get the renter's approval

    Once you've booked your motorcycle, an email and a text message will be sent to the renter to confirm the motorcycle's availability. Once the renter has confirmed your rental, you will be sent a confirmation email containing the renter’s details.

  • Checking the driver's ID

    You will be invited to complete your Easy Renter account. This includes uploading your driving license and your ID card, both front and back. Our team will then verify them in accordance with our rental policies. Once completed, you will be sent another email to confirm verification.

  • Pay the deposit online

    The security deposit is open on your account 48 hours prior to the start of your rental. If you booked your rental in advance, you will be sent an email and a text message (French phone numbers only) to let you know that the deposit is open on your account. You can also make your deposit easier by reducing the size of deposit you need to pay.

  • Get the motorcycle

    It's the day of your rental! Head to the address that you were sent in your email. Once there, the renter will inspect the originals of your driving license and your ID card. After inspecting the motorcycle with the renter, the professional will complete and sign the rental contract.

What are the rental rates?

Driving Licenses

Our rental conditions are quite straightforward. Easy Renter follows French driving license regulations for motorcycles. Drivers also need to have 2 years' experience with the minimum driving license necessary for driving the motorcycle. For example, if the motorcycle is limited to A2, you must have had an A2 driving license for at least 2 years.

Do I need any driving license experience?

We don’t ask for proof of experience. However, we do ask drivers to provide a driving license that is at least 2 years old. For example, if you rent a motorcycle that requires an A-category driving license, your A-category driving license will need to be at least 2 years old.

The minimum age for renting a motorcycle

Drivers need to be at least 25 years old.

This is an insurance requirement which Easy Renter must respect. We understand that this may be inconvenient for bikers, however, due to insurance regulations we are obligated to abide by this minimum age requirement. We are hoping to find complementary insurance that will allow younger drivers to rent through Easy Renter.

The security deposit

The security deposit is an essential step in your rental, and will be open on your Easy Renter account 48 hours before the start of your rental. Emails and text messages will be sent to tell you that the deposit is open on your account. Find out more about deposits >

Can I reduce the deposit?

Yes, you can! Starting in 2023, we have launched a new service that allows riders to reduce their deposit, which you will be able to subscribe to when paying your deposit. You then will be able to choose between the reduced deposit and the normal one. This new service simplifies the rental process, making it even more stress-free.

Where to find these informations

You can find the security deposit amount before the booking on the motorcycle page in the “Rental Information” section. Please note that the value of the security deposit varies depending on the model of the vehicle.

What mileage package should I choose?

The average mileage package on Easy Renter is 200 km or 124 miles per day, meaning the more days you select, the higher the total mileage package will be. For example, if you make a rental for three days, your total mileage package will be 600 km (200 km x 3 days).

Is it possible to add kilometres?

Yes, you can increase the number of miles when you book your rental. You can add extra miles to your mileage package in increments of 50 km per day. For instance, if you rent for 3 days with a mileage package of 200 km per day and select the 50 km option, you will be granted 750 km in total (200 + 50 km x 3 days).

What is the cancellation policy?

Sometimes things come up and you have to cancel or postpone your rental. Our policy provides the best flexibility so you won’t be penalised if your plans change.

Here are our cancellation policies:

  • If you request the cancellation before 12:00 PM the day before your rental, we will cancel your booking and you will be sent an email containing a voucher to the value of your booking.
  • After 12:00 PM the day before your rental, bookings cannot be cancelled. You will not be sent a voucher and the full amount will be retained.

How to cancel your reservation?

Cancelling your booking is easy. You will need to log in to your account and go to the 'Reservations' section. From there, you'll be able to view all of your existing bookings and select the one you'd like to cancel. Once you've selected your booking, you'll be prompted to confirm your cancellation, which will then be processed.
